I've been lucky enough to try a lot of Hot Pot places around the world and glad to say Happy Lamb is right up there with the best. They have very reasonable prices and a great selection of meats and vegetables to choose from. Their broth is excellent and flavorful (we tried the split pot with original and spicy). The meats are high quality and fresh and you order them from the staff, while you can go to a buffet for the vegetables, seafood, appetizers, and items like tofu. There is a self-serve soft-drink dispenser and a good dipping sauce bar. I'd maybe ding them a little for not having as many sauce ingredient options as some places but the difference is small. They did make sure that the more popular ingredients were plentiful and the bar was kept pretty clean. There is a small selection of desserts and even a cotton candy machine. The staff was very friendly and attentive and even though the restaurant was nearly full we never had to wait much. Parking is good and I highly recommend this place!
Second time trying Happy Lamb (the first time was in Austin) - and I prefer this branch because of the booths, which makes the hotpot experience more private! The one in Austin has a pretty open layout and too cramped as if I was sharing a table with strangers. The ambiance was also terrible there as they’re blasting EDM. We got the premium meats and didn’t disappoint - wish we could’ve gotten at least two servings of the “wagyu” - there were three of us and they limit one serving per two people. I’m only rating the hotpot and the sides. I highly recommend getting the half and half - the best of both worlds! The white broth is probably the best I’ve had and I’ve been to several countries in Asia (although the selection of seafood etc is better there). Don’t sleep on the egg noodles, but ensure you don’t overcook it! The cream puffs and other desserts were terrible though - the ice cream was decent. I would definitely go back here
Good food here. Lots of variety to choose from. Get the extra package and select the lamb items for an extra good taste. Remember to be careful selecting the broth. What you select from the beginning is used for the whole three rounds. If you happen to not like the selected broth, it can be changed out for 20. We selected the House Broth and the Golden Cabbage Broth. The Golden Cabbage Broth has a very unique spicy taste so you would either like it or not. We ended up cooking in the House Broth side only instead of swapping out. Birthday folks eat for free if you come here with someone.
absolutely fantastic hotpot! fast service, many choices, small but effective sauce bar, and the soup bases are DELICIOUS! very flavorful, and they refill it for free when it boils down
It is simply delicious. Awesome staff. The meet came out fast. The Soup broth were delicious sauce bar had everything I needed and I like that I can go and grab the veggies tofu meatballs fish balls all the other good stuff at my will. 10/10 will recommend and be back again.
Absolutely amazing! The place looks clean and fashionable, staff are working on overdrive (I’ve never seen such diligent service as they were constantly bringing us more meat and broth AND with a great attitude), great selection and quality of food! I’d honestly eat that mushroom broth by itself. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place!
Nice all you can eat restaurant, clean and don't have to make a reservation unless you come with 6 or more people. They have many selection of meats (lamb, pork, beef,chicken) veggies, seafood. The birthday person is free of charge with 3 or more people and can be count from 3 days before the birthday date. The service is good and fast. Weekdays 20.99/ person, dinner and weekend 25.99 Update 12/4/21: weekend price 27.99 10/15/22 weekdays price 22.99 , weekend 27.99. Now they have buffet that you can get by yourselves like veggie, shrimp, meatball except meats, you have to order. They serve fried rice ( steam rice you have to pay), fried wings, fish tofu, veggie and fruits 03/13/2024 More variation of foods. They still charge .99 / person for the sauce, but drinks included now.
The food was delicious and I haven't been to a hot pot before. Even though it was busy everything was well stocked. Seating was great. The music wasn't overwhelming and it was an overall pleasant experience. The amount of food you get for the price was perfect. Wagyu, beef and garlic, prawns, crawdads, pumpkins! Literally so many options! The staff was great, served us quickly and explained things well. Whenever we needed anything they were so quick to accommodate. Can't wait to find another reason to come back out here again!
